Russia's Foreign Minister said it plainly:

"We have no intention of fighting Europe this is nonsense and absurd. It is Europe that is preparing for war with us. Every day they confirm that, by 2030 at the latest, we Europeans must be ready for war. This could become a self-fulfilling prophecy, because they are now investing huge amounts of money in weapons production."

And then he reminded the world of what Putin said:

"If they attack us, we won't hold back. It will be a completely different war, and it will be short."

The Truth: Europe Is the Aggressor, Not Russia

Europe is not a victim. It is a participant. It is not defending itself. It is preparing to attack.

NATO has expanded from 16 members in 1990 to 32 today. It has moved from the Elbe to the Russian border. It has absorbed every country it could. It has built bases. It has deployed missiles. It has staged exercises. It has armed Ukraine. It has sanctioned Russia. It has tried to strangle Russia.
 Germany is reintroducing conscription. Young Germans are being told they must prepare to fight Russia. They are resisting. They know Russia is not their enemy. They know the real enemy is the empire that occupies their country and turns it into a launchpad.
 NATO has set a 2030 deadline for "war readiness." Every member state is increasing defense spending. Every member state is buying weapons. Every member state is preparing for a war with Russia that Russia does not want.
The US has 35,000 troops in Germany, nuclear weapons in Germany, and bases across Europe. It uses Europe as a platform to project power. It uses Europe as a runway to bomb the Middle East. It uses Europe as a market for its weapons. It uses Europe as a vassal.
 Europe is buying hundreds of billions of dollars in US weapons. F-35s. Patriots. THAAD. Abrams tanks. Himars. The US military-industrial complex is getting richer while Europe gets poorer. The US is selling Europe the rope with which Europe will be hanged.

The Self-Fulfilling Prophecy

Lavrov warned that Europe's preparation for war could become a self-fulfilling prophecy. He is right.

If you spend years telling Russia that you are preparing for war, if you build bases on its border, if you arm its enemies, if you impose sanctions, if you demonize its leadership, if you train its neighbors to fight it, do not be surprised when Russia responds.

Russia has no intention of fighting Europe. It has said so repeatedly. But Russia will defend itself if attacked. And Putin's warning is clear: if Europe attacks, it will not be a long war. It will be short. And Europe will not like the outcome.

What Europe Should Do

Europe should stop being a vassal of Washington. It should stop buying US weapons. It should stop hosting US bases. It should stop preparing for a war that serves American interests, not European ones. It should stop sacrificing its youth, its economy, its sovereignty, and its future for the sake of an empire that sees Europe as nothing more than a forward operating base.

Europe should listen to its young people. They are protesting conscription. They are saying: we will not fight Russia. They are saying: we know who the real enemy is.

The real enemy is not Russia. The real enemy is the empire that occupies Europe, that bombs the Middle East from European soil, that profits from European division, that uses Europe as a pawn in its global game.

Russia is not Europe's enemy. Russia is Europe's neighbor. And neighbors should not be turned into enemies by an empire that lives 5,000 miles away.
