British people knew quite early about the Holocaust—and the government knew even more—but too little was done to try to stop it.

‘There’s a feeling today that Britain really only found out about the Holocaust at the end of the war. But in 1942, the year in which most victims of the Holocaust were murdered, you couldn’t really escape this information in Britain.’ 
So British people knew quite early about the Holocaust—and the government knew even more—but too little was done to try to stop it. 
The parallels with the Gaza genocide are striking, but in many ways this has been much worse. The UK government has known everything from the start, and the public vastly more than in WW2—and Britain has been directly involved in aiding Israel.
