The "Israel controls America" narrative is not primarily about Israel.
It is about America.
It is a psychological operation that Americans perform on themselves, largely unconsciously, to preserve the heroism myth while acknowledging the evidence that has become too large to ignore.
The logic runs like this:
We didn't choose these wars.
We didn't choose these foreign policy atrocities.
We didn't choose to arm dictators and bomb civilians and overthrow governments.
Someone "made us do it."
Someone with disproportionate influence, with dual loyalties, with money and media power, manipulated us away from our "true heroic nature."
Notice what this accomplishes.
American agency disappears.
American responsibility disappears.
American voters who returned the same governments to power for eighty years disappear.
American corporations that profit from the arms trade disappear.
American strategic interests that existed long before the modern state of Israel was founded disappear.
All of it disappears.
And in its place: a puppet master.
The mythology is saved.
The hero was manipulated.
The hero is still a hero.
