The Trump–Netanyahu alliance is doomed to losses it won’t be able to make up for.

Count with me:

First: Trump, who did everything to say: I’m the strongest American president, ended up looking like a weak clown, powerless to carry out his threats; retreating, shaken, unable to open a strait, unwilling to stand by his allies, full of lies and boasts. Who will take him seriously after today, when he couldn’t subdue a besieged country after all he’s done? Not to mention his losses inside the United States, within his party and beyond, but rather, he’s polished the image of his predecessor Obama.

Second: Trump undermined international and regional trust in the United States and the American presidency, especially among allies before enemies and adversaries, after he corrupted the American institution most severely: in security, defense, and politics.

Third: He gave Iran confidence and strength, and made it more aware of its own strengths and the weaknesses of its enemy.

Fourth: Israel was exposed, and much of its weakness was laid bare when it entered a confrontation with a strong country truly willing to fight, even though it fought alongside the world’s greatest military power.

Fifth: Netanyahu, who promised to change the face of the Middle East, yes, he changed it… but not as he wanted, but exactly the opposite.

Much more could be said, and this is just some of it, and let’s not forget the gains China achieved during Trump’s tenure.
