Drop Site’s Jeremy Scahill reacts to Ambassador Mike Huckabee’s claim that Gaza “could have been Singapore, but Hamas turned it into Haiti,” and that Israel should be entitled to reparations for the genocide it is carrying out in Gaza.
Equating Hamas with ISIS is “an epic lie” used to dehumanize Palestinians, Scahill said. He argued the so-called “Board of Peace” is a colonial scheme that would turn Gazans into “plantation workers” on “Jared Kushner’s new real estate farm,” overseen by a technocratic Palestinian committee serving as “the mayors of the prison” Israel and the West confine them in.
Scahill also told Daniel Davis he feels “second hand embarrassment” watching a sycophant like Huckabee who at times sounds “more radical than Netanyahu.”
