While Israel uses the events of October 7th as propaganda and plays up what happened there, internally the Netanyahu government is minimizing the events of that day. The office of the Prime Minister asked to requested to remove the word "massacre" from the title of a national commemoration bill for the October 7, 2023, attacks, proposing instead the term "events" or "incidents" in order to whitewash his responsibility for what happened that day. That has caused outrage among the families of victims. Hila Abir, whose sister was murdered at the Supernova festival): Stated during a Knesset hearing, “This law will pass over my dead body... Where is the death of our brothers and children? It was all erased!” Amazing how the events Israel claims were justification for a genocide, are suddenly no big deal when it has to face accountability. Always pay attention to what Israel says in Hebrew.
