US Secretary of State basically admitting: Iran had the AUDACITY to build a real defensive shield for its own survival — and that’s exactly why the Empire struck first.
Look at the arrogance. Iran dared to defend itself against decades of aggression, sanctions, assassinations, and constant threats from the US and Israel.
They weren’t “building an offensive force” — they were creating enough missiles, drones, conventional weapons, and even a capable navy so that no one could bomb them with impunity anymore.
They were simply telling the world:
“If you attack our nuclear sites, our territory, or our people, we will hit back hard — with swarms of missiles, waves of drones, and naval operations that will make you regret it.”
That’s called sovereignty. That’s called deterrence.
That’s what any self-respecting nation does when it’s surrounded by hostile empires that have already destroyed Iraq, Libya, and tried the same on Syria and Yemen.
But the US can’t tolerate that. They can’t allow any country — especially one that refuses to bow to the dollar and the rules-based disorder — to reach a point of real immunity. So Trump (and the neocons) decided to smash that emerging shield before Iran could complete it.
Classic imperialist logic: “How dare you defend yourself? Only WE are allowed to have overwhelming military superiority and threaten whoever we want.”
Iran wasn’t the aggressor. Iran was preparing to survive the next illegal war the Empire was clearly planning. And the fact that Washington openly admits this was the reason for the attack tells you everything about who the real threat to peace is.
Respect to Iran for daring to stand tall. The rest of the Global Majority is watching.
