Why the fuck would we “socially cohere” for monsters?
Yesterday, the gulf between the will of the Australian people and the actions of the Australian government revealed itself to be a chasm. A chasm filled with hundreds of thousands of murdered Palestinians, genocidal war criminals on state visits, and the authoritarian destruction of norms we once considered innate democratic rights. Clearly, the beatings will continue until morale improves, and your rights and writers festivals and press club visits will be removed, one by one, until everyone loves Israel and their mass infanticide, their global network of gaslighting disguised as news, and their not-so-secret-anymore pedophile rape island that serves as a Mossad honeypot for the global establishment.

This is a gap that will not be closed by voting: we have no real opposition, and our political theatre is captured by the complicit and the cowardly. Nor will the distance be bridged by outlawing all the things decent people think and want to say in public. Things like free Palestine, fuck genocide, and may all your racist, fascist cops with their gimpy moustaches be cursed to a lifetime of burning urethras and constant, painful flatulence.
Protests filled city streets across the country as the nation dissented against Israeli President Isaac Herzog’s visit as a guest of the Australian government, a trip sold disingenuously to the people as an apolitical “healing” moment of mourning after the Bondi massacre. For even entertaining this idea, Prime Minister Albanese has shown his judgment is as useless as his spine.
Palestinians, First Nations peoples and allies chanted and orated eloquent speeches, using words Labor’s current class of blockheaded bloke Premiers of the Minns and Malinouskas mould wouldn’t be able to pronounce, yet alone understand.

In Naarm/Melbourne, the solidarity and collective defiance felt well practiced two and a half years into a genocide; second nature for a city that prides itself on its unbroken streak of resistance. Noura Mansour, Sarah Schwartz of the Jewish Council, and Lidia Thorpe spoke on the steps of Flinders St Station to warm responses. The most potent of Thorpe’s remarks was a simple question. “Who signs a bomb?”

On Gadigal land/Sydney, awe-inspiring crowds were met with brutal NSW Police thuggery, amped up with new laws to oppress and a war criminal to keep comfy.
Muslims were assaulted while praying outside the Town Hall. Protestors were kettled, surrounded and charged by police. An older gentleman was assaulted by a mob of bike cops throwing punches.
Abigail Boyd, a Greens member of NSW Parliament, ended up in a neck brace in hospital. She told the media: “[An] officer just pushes his fist into my chin. And then another one, as I’m recovering from that, another one pushes me in my shoulder… I feel quite naive, but I didn’t know that this was what police could do in our state. I feel just absolutely shocked. And then for there to be this peaceful prayer, it was prayer. How are these people a threat to anybody? They’re praying and to be just then, they grab them and they’re throwing them, they’re picking them up off of their prayer mats and throwing them to the ground.”
If the intention was to make Isaac Herzog feel at home by surrounding him with violent, racist thugs, then take a bow Chris Minns. Turns out the IDF isn’t just a genocidal army, it’s a mindset.
On the ABC this morning, Minns, predictably, blamed protestors, beaten and bloody, for their own fate. When asked about the footage of Muslim men kneeling to pray and being assaulted by police, he twisted reality into unrecognisable shite: “I think it’s important to state that NSW Police would never have intended to cause offence to people that are praying or exercising their religion… It’s important that context is shown here, and that it was a riotous situation. NSW Police’s lines were repeatedly charged. They’ve given a lawful direction to the community to disperse. It had been largely ignored… I think given the fact we had a visiting head of state, 7000 mourners, 5000 protesters, it was a combustible situation that needed to be contained.”
Maaaaaaate, Chris, learn to count! You are vastly outnumbered here, and your innumeracy and gaslighting won’t change that. While the Premier of NSW was willing to debase himself for a monster, the overwhelming mass of the people of NSW were not.
Before the arrival of Herzog, Penny Wong, Australian foreign minister and spruiker of the world’s only supply of “non-lethal” deathplane parts, similarly urged Australians to consider the “context and circumstances” for Herzog’s visit.
It can only be assumed that when Wong and Minns say context, they do not mean the genocide. Nor even the blackmail honeypot pedophile torture island run by Epstein, an agent of Mossad, in service of Israel and the circling oligarchical depravity.

Nor, believe it or not, do Penny and Chris mean the context of Herzog’s own words and actions, the deeds of a violent Jewish supremacist that has dehumanised Palestinian children and signed bombs that have fallen on their heads.
No, they mean the other context. The other circumstances. The bullshit narrative spun for the compliant smoothbrains, happily inhabiting their “we’re the good guys” simulacrum of corporate media and obsequious, grovelling politicians to the Zionist project.
“We are a country, a democracy [ed – extremely fucking debatable!], where we know people have differences of views, and I do understand very keenly that people have different views about this visit, and there is depth of feeling in different communities across Australia, you know, we see that, we feel that,” Wong said.
“What I would ask people to recall is the context and circumstances of this visit and the purpose of it, which is to honour the victims of the antisemitic terror attack, which we all know was so traumatic, and to provide support to the Australian Jewish community.”
If disingenuousness were a person, its name would be Penny Wong. To pretend that this visit from the president of a rogue genocidal project, booed at the Olympics and reviled around the world is apolitical is, frankly, insulting. Do we get foreign dignitaries from any other nation into parliament to speak for mourning Australians during any other tragedy? Are their visits sponsored by organisations that fund genocidal armies?
Fuck no.
Every aspect of Western rule in 2026, from the news media to academia to our politicians to our streaming entertainment slop, is propped up with this exact brand of convenient selectivity. With siloing effect from cause, severing reaction from provocation. History begins when we say it does: on October 7 2023, on December 14 2025, etc. We repeat this modus operandi eternally and hope no one notices the patterns.
In the government’s framing, the context for Herzog’s visit begins and ends in Bondi. This is ludicrous. For empathetic humans capable of object permanence and free thought, the context is actually a moonscape of rubble and mass murdered children, of two years of livestreamed genocide facilitated by monsters like Herzog.

It could not be any clearer. Your government doesn’t mean “social cohesion,” it means silent complicity. It means OBEY. It means join the ranks of the “good Germans” that looked away while their fascists murdered millions of innocents.
Frankly, that won’t happen, nor should it. Not while decent people have each other’s backs, have sovereignty over their own minds, and refuse to give up on a better future for humanity. The erosion of Australian democratic rights and the violent scenes in NSW, cops jacked up on the impunity of tyrants and malignant racism, is exactly what people mean when they say none of us are free until Palestine is free.
Isaac Herzog visits Naarm/Melbourne on Thursday. He will speak at the Exhibition and Convention Centre. Protestors will meet outside Southern Cross Station at 3pm, and then march to confront a man citied by the international courts for inciting genocide. Why the fuck would anyone “socially cohere” for this?
