Trump was convinced by the incompetent War Secretary Pete Hegseth that Iran would go the way of Venezuela.
Benjamin Netanyahu and the Chief of Mossad convinced him that after the assassination of Khamenei, the war would essentially be a mop-up operation and that the Islamic Republic would disintegrate.
205 days later, the Iranian government still stands, more hardline, and even more intransigent. The Strait of Hormuz remains shut, US gas stations are running out of fuel, and the situation in Europe is even more dire.
History will record that there has not been a more foolish and gullible US President since 1945 than Donald Trump.
