This is Israel's own chief of police making this statement - that "Israelis are considered thugs and criminals". Then again, if your citizens are filmed raping, gang raping, sniping mothers and children, bombing kindergartens, torturing animals, torturing one year olds in front of their fathers, committing every atrocity conceivable - well, I would say 'thugs and criminals' is fairly conservative terminology...
