Palestinian resources are not Israel’s to sell.
Labour MP Brian Leishman asked the UK government a simple question: Dana Petroleum is in a consortium licensed to explore waters off Gaza — much of it in Palestinian maritime zones. Is that illegal? Could it be pillage?
The government said it recognises Palestine as a state, and with that a territorial sea. UK companies must follow international law.
You cannot recognise Palestine and then let a British-based firm help extract what belongs to Palestinians.
Drop the licences. Stop the pillage.
