Israel carried out a massacre of Palestinians in Tantura in 1948.
It was documented in the memoirs of Muhammad Nimr al Khatib, published in 1950.
A few days after the massacre, al Khatib recorded the testimony of a Palestinian who had told him about summary executions [see screenshot].
The massacre was not widely acknowledged or accepted until the Israeli perpetrators confessed to the crime in the 1990s to an Israeli researcher, Teddy Katz, and it was not widely acknowledged by the general public until a documentary film was made about it by, wait for it, Israelis.
History sometimes doesn't ryhme, sometimes it repeats itself. source: archive.org/details/ethnic (p.137)
