The filmmakers who created NAZA about the killings in Gaza, what Israel calls “collateral damage” are now afraid for their lives. They are being called traitors and are being threatened on line and in real life, possibly having their citizenship revoked and dealing with very real death threats. While people are organizing to help them, others are subsuming the internet with all kinds of “proofs” that the film is wrong. That Israel is the “most moral army in the world” and that “collateral damage” is limited, and expected, and normal. I took some time to break down these arguments. Killing of innocent people — and lots and lots of children — in Gaza is not normal, or expected, or morally justifiable in any way. Take a look at what I compiled. What “collateral damage” really means in Gaza.
