It is said that the United States pushed for a regional alliance involving Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Pakistan to counter Iranian influence... but the biggest irony begins right here!
The alliance suddenly found itself facing the Houthis in Yemen a group that apparently was not part of the planners' calculations in quite the way they expected.
And instead of the whole thing ending with a victory for the alliance, the tables are completely turned in this scenario: Iran is positioned at the Strait of Hormuz, while the Houthis are positioned at the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, leaving the U.S. Navy, Israel, and Saudi Arabia facing a maritime and economic crisis from two directions!
A blockade of the major maritime routes, disrupting Saudi Arabia's oil lifeline and cutting off a crucial economic lifeline for Israel.
