This is false. Axios claims 40 oil tankers crossed the Strait of Hormuz through the southern Omani corridor last on Friday night, carrying around 16 million barrels of oil out of the Strait. However, Kpler vessel-tracking data, which uses satellite imagery rather than just AIS status, shows completely zero west-to-east tanker crossings on Friday and zero barrels of oil exiting through the Strait. Barak Ravid's Axios once again not only exaggerates, but makes the number up.
