BREAKING: China openly rejects Trump’s new economic war on Iran, refusing to back Washington’s sweeping sanctions campaign against Tehran.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian said Beijing “opposes illicit unilateral sanctions that lack basis in international law” and warned that military action, sanctions and pressure tactics are not the solution.
China has also rejected U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent’s call for Beijing to join Washington in applying stronger economic pressure on Iran.
