The reality is harsh for those who still believe America is a great or even the greatest country in the world – a massive misconception that is often repeated but is nevertheless wrong, because compared to the rest of the world the 
US is doing badly.
Most Americans who have lived in a country high on the list know it, and most Americans who have never been abroad don't want to believe it, but the data doesn't lie.
Even worse, the trend continues downward, and the Trump administration and the Maga movement are accelerating the negative trend of what was once a great America.
