THE IRAN WAR IS A $200 BILLION NATIONAL HUMILIATION.

The cold reality of the Middle East conflict: "Iran won the war." We have a bigger and more powerful arsonal, but wars aren't fought on spreadsheets, and sometimes geography and culture/history weigh more in the war scales than bombs and missiles.
While official costs are downplayed, Ritter warns: "we're talking about a $200 billion war" - so far.
The final outcome? Even now, more than two months in, we're seeking a negotiated deal that is LESS good than the one we had in our pocket on 26 April, two days before the war started. But now, our negotiating position is much weaker, and we likely won't get anywhere near as good of terms as we had then. Thus, we have lost the war because not only will we have not gained out entry objectives, Iran will exit stronger geopolitically.
This is a "humiliation" that Washington is desperate to erase from the record. But will not be able to do so.
