President Trump today acknowledged that there was a deal to have the Strait of Hormuz opened up, that Iran had agreed to a mutually beneficial deal, but then on his word he canceled it.
Let that sink in:
the Strait could’ve been open, a deal had been made, and because the president suddenly decided he didn’t want to allow Iran to benefit too, he sank the deal for everyone.
Not only again did the diplomatic word of the United States mean nothing, our friends and allies keep suffering financially. That is close to being the epitome of failure of leadership.
