The New York Times: the world is entering a new era of global war
The Iran war signals the beginning of a new global war, in which the Eastern bloc, with unprecedented coordination, is employing a strategy of comprehensive attrition against Washington.
The failure of diplomacy in the crisis over the Strait of Hormuz and the ongoing stalemate in Ukraine have put the US in a position where it can no longer ensure international security with traditional military tools.
The depletion of US missile arsenals during the war with Iran has led to a significant weakening of the West's defense potential in Ukraine and Taiwan. The US's industrial capacity is no longer capable of supporting the conduct of multiple wars simultaneously.
Now, the global war is unfolding not on a single specific battlefield, but in supply chains of goods, in gas prices on Wall Street, and in hidden military-technical alliances.
