While the United States keeps boasting that it demands submission from Iran, the Iranian authorities remain stalwart in their unwillingness to even engage in diplomacy until the blockade is lifted.
We are therefore at a major impasse, yet what is not static is the economic damage that continues to pile up day after day by the closure of the SOH.
The pressure on the United States grows by the hour, and the harm done to our citizens continues to grow.
Angry social media posts or market manipulations are not going to help us at the gas pump, or our bill at the grocery store. Some hard nose diplomacy is gonna have to be conducted soon, and that means giving as well as taking. So long as we continue to pretend all we have to do is make demands and we don’t have to give anything, we deepen our self harm.
