With an order to evacuate bases 10 days ago, military cannot leave and remain under intense fire from Iranian drones and local Shiite militias.
Iran managed to open fire against almost all American bases in the region to the point that the military had to abandon these bases in a billion-dollar loss.
Patriots were powerless in the face of the number of attacks. However I believe that the anti-drone systems of these bases were not strengthened for an eventual confrontation with Iran.
Later I will write how this redraws the role of the American military presence in the Middle East and completely broke the confidence of Asian countries in the American ability to give them protection.
