A lot of people are promoting the simplistic narrative that the war on Iran is simply due to Israel and Netanyahu. But Iran itself recognizes that this is about much more. The warmongering US empire is also targeting the global oil supply, China, the Global South, and the basic principle of sovereignty. Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman stresses that this is a war "for sovereignty, for freedom, for energy justice, and for a law-based international order free from domination by bullying power politics".
