China replies: the decision was made according to Iran’s Constitution, not Washington’s approval rating.
That’s the real humiliation.
And this isn’t just diplomacy, it’s a quiet statement about the world order taking shape.
For decades, the U.S. behaved as if every nation needed a presidential permission slip to change leaders.
Now Beijing is openly rejecting that imperial habit:
Iran’s choice is Iran’s business.
By affirming that the succession was made “in accordance with its Constitution,” and rejecting interference under any pretext,
China did three things at once:
• granted international legitimacy to Iran’s new leader
• denied Washington’s self-assigned authority to “accept or reject” other governments
• warned against further U.S.–Israeli military escalation
Trump can tweet threats.
China just rewrote the conversation:
sovereignty is not something the United States gets to grade.
The era of “America decides who rules your country” is ending, and the punchline is that Beijing ended it by simply stating a fact.
