This raises a question that should alarm everyone:
How does a $1.5 trillion “Dream Military” get paid for?
Because the timing isn’t subtle.
In the same breath that this administration announces the largest military budget in human history, it is:
• Seizing control over Venezuela’s oil revenues
• Forcing exclusive purchasing agreements with U.S. firms
• Maintaining a naval blockade to enforce compliance
• Intercepting foreign energy shipments in the Caribbean
At some point, this stops being “tariffs” and starts looking like extraction.
Empire has always funded its armies the same way: by turning foreign sovereignty into revenue streams. Iraq paid for the War on Terror with its oil. Libya paid with its state collapse. Now Venezuela is being openly folded into the U.S. economic-military apparatus.
When the President says this budget is affordable because of income generated abroad, the implication seems to be that the military pays for itself by conquering the economies it subjugates.
History is very clear about where that model leads. Power without moral grounding hollows out the soul of a nation first, and then consumes the empire itself.
