A flyer currently circulating online is attempting to provoke fear, division, and racial hostility. It is not endorsed by any recognised organisation, and it does not represent the values of Australia or the overwhelming majority of its people.
This is exactly how division is manufactured. Anonymous voices. No accountability. Designed to inflame, distract, and pit neighbour against neighbour.
Do not engage with it. Do not retaliate. Do not allow yourselves to be drawn into the trap.
We have already seen the truth in moments of real crisis. When danger was real and lives were at stake, it was Ahmed who acted with courage, humanity, and selflessness. Not because of his religion. Not because of his background. But because Ahmed is human.
That is who we are.
Australians come from different cultures, faiths, and histories, but we came here for the same reason. A better life. Safety. Opportunity. A future for our children.
Those trying to divide us are loud, but they are small. They feed on attention and anger. Unity starves them.
Ignore the bigots. Reject the racists. Respond not with hate, but with solidarity, calm, and moral strength.
Our humanity is stronger than their hate.
