Because if Washington’s policy remains what President Trump keeps repeating — “accept or be destroyed” — then we tell them clearly: this method doesn’t frighten us. We have very little left to lose. Look at the prisons. How many Palestinians have died under torture? They don’t talk about that. But the moment an Israeli captive misses a meal, it becomes international news. Meanwhile, when our prisoners are raped, or when a legal official dares to report Israeli crimes, they treat her as the criminal — put her on trial — for touching what they call “the most moral army in the world,” which in truth has no morality at all. These particular Western standards, especially in America, are rotten at their core. They don’t see the Palestinian as an equal to the Israeli, or even to themselves.
