While Trump whines on camera that “maybe we’ll have to stop importing from China”—all while desperately hoping Xi Jinping will magically buy US soybeans again —his administration is busy cooking up another aviation tantrum 
Latest US Genius Move: Ban Chinese airlines from flying over Russian airspace on US-bound routes—because “it’s unfair” that Chinese carriers can take the shorter, fuel-efficient northern route while US carriers… can’t. Why? Oh right—because Washington itself banned Russian airspace after provoking the Ukraine crisis, then got mad when Moscow reciprocated
So instead of fixing their own self-inflicted detour dilemma, Trump wants to drag everyone down to the American level of inefficiency. Classic imperial logic: “If we can’t fly straight, neither can you!”
Meanwhile, US airlines—backed by the usual lobby thugs—cry about “$2 billion in lost market share,” ignoring the fact that their own government’s sanctions regime is the root cause. Not China. Not Russia. Washington’s own geopolitical arson
