@ FranceskAlbs The shameful silence of the EU on the genocide in Gaza is the payment for future gas supplies from Israel. And that's why Egypt supports Israel so vigorously. The EU is seeking 50+ billion cubic meters/year alternatives to Russian gas. In 2022, there was a trilateral memorandum Israel-Egypt-EU on supplies from Leviathan and Tamar (Israel — 25+ trillion cubic feet of gas, export to the EU through Egypt). In 2025, Israel signed additional agreements for "large supplies" — up to 10 billion cubic meters per year by 2027, to fill the gap from Russia. Despite its own fields (Tamar, Leviathan — ), Israel wants more: the Palestinian-owned Gaza Marine field (1 trillion cubic feet, ~$4 billion potential) could add 5–10% to exports, especially for the EU.
