Propaganda media outlets in NATO countries are continuously repeating that 90% of Syrians lived in poverty by the end of Bashar Al-Assad’s rule… What they won’t tell you is the US occupied the area of Syria with most of its oil and gas fields, and systematically looted these oil and gas reserves for years, which in turn denied Assad’s government vital revenue to sustain the Syrian economy and created chronic fuel shortages-paralysing the economy. On top of this, they won’t mention the crippling sanctions either, which has been a popular tool in the regime change toolkit for the US, to create conditions so unbearable that leads to a population turning against their government as the desperation grows.
