the birth of the nehru dynasty

Today is the Jawahwar Lal Nehru's birthday. Celebrated as Bal Diwas, or Children's Day, it is an ironical reminder of how the Congress party  has become a party of politicians who never grew up and still do not want to  grow out from under  the apron folds of the Nehru/Gandhi family -the Dynasty they do not want to dislodge. Or simply cannot, because, parent like, it controls the purse strings of political power.

Now  already  in the  4th generation of  venal veneration, the Dynasty will be the death of true Democracy in India.

In the early 1980s I started looking at the visual projection of the  family when Rajiv Gandhi, the 3rd generation son god,  was being projected as the future ruler of India.  These are just a few pictures from my critical  take.
