That’s the pattern Breaking the Silence veterans describe: Palestinians are shot, then retroactively branded militants so the killing can be sold as justified.
Director Nadav Weiman called it retroactive criminalisation — a near-automatic excuse for every bullet, shell, and missile. Permissive rules of engagement don’t just risk civilians. They put journalists and medics in the blast radius too.
His line: First we shoot. We kill. Then we find a reason.
The label is not proof. It’s cover. End it.
