UN Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese, speaking with Matt Kennard.
"Peoples suffering under oppression and apartheid regimes have the right to protect themselves. The right to resist, including armed resistance, is an inherent right."
"It was recognised by the United Nations General Assembly in the case of the Palestinians."
Then she drew the line:
"Killing civilians is prohibited under any circumstances. The killing of a soldier is a tragedy, but it is not a crime under oppression."
Her conclusion:
"Take your troops, dismantle your barracks, take your settlers and return them to their homes. Then let the Palestinians live. Let the Palestinians breathe."
