🚨🇺🇸 BREAKING: The Army secretary has resigned, leaving no confirmed civilian or uniformed leader atop the service Dan Driscoll submitted his resignation to Trump after 18 months, per three sources to CNN, following months of friction with Hegseth over the direction of the Army and the removal of senior officers. The White House gave no reason, with spokeswoman Anna Kelly praising his leadership during historic military operations and his help on Russia and Ukraine negotiations. He was an Iraq veteran, a Vance friend from Yale Law, and Trump’s pick as a disruptor and change agent. The Army enters month seven of this war with nobody confirmed in either top seat. Randy George was fired in April and never replaced, Chris Donahue left in June, Navy Secretary John Phelan went in April. Driscoll pushed hardest to cut red tape on drones and counter-drone work, and the battalion built to do exactly that was folded back into regular infantry this month on LaNeve’s order.
