Iran and the Houthis are really squeezing the American CENTCOM in the region. They have captured, recovered and obtained billions of dollars worth of advanced military grear in this war but that's not necessraily the danger.
The danger comes from the consequneces of those captures by a committed and determined adversary of the United States who is known to have advanced engineering capabilities and advanced reverse engineering capabilities.
Some of the billion dollar drones and smart missiles were captured by Iran. That means they essentially now have the blueprints for the design, the technology and what makes each one so special.
If the Iranian Instituions that are fighting the American Institutions (i.e. CENTCOM vs IRGC) do not destroy each other in the Middle East over the coming two years, that means the Middle East will see far more advanced military capabilities coming out of Iran with weapons systems that are more refined and at a cheaper cost and this will change the battle space in the Middle East over the coming decade.
At this pace, if the Iranian Institutions are not stopped by America and the Arab States, we will see far more one sided war from Iran against the others. Iran will become a defacto patron of the Middle East powers because these powers will have no choice.
