Genocide is the destruction of a group through a variety of means, not necessarily only or mainly by killing. No one can doubt that Israel has *intentionally* destroyed Palestinian society in Gaza and *deliberately* reduced the surviving population to a desperate state. 

These people pretend to be interested in the definition of genocide—to which they pay no attention—but would equally deny that Israel has committed grave war crimes and crimes against humanity (the ICC’s charges against Netanyahu). They are merely propagandists for atrocity.

Two points:

1) This conflates intent w/ efficacy. Genocide’s legal definition doesn’t do that, which is why you can theoretically commit genocide whilst killing .0001% of a population. If you think the legal definition should include a “% of group minimum kill threshold” say so. x.com/davidm_friedma…
