BREAKING: China officially announces it does not accept US sanctions against Iran as part of Trump's "Economic D-Day," saying "China opposes illicit unilateral sanctions that lack basis in international law" and "China believes that military means, sanctions and pressure tactics are not the solution," per China's MFA spokesperson Lin Jian.
China has also directly rejected US Treasury Secretary Bessent's call yesterday for China to join the US in putting strong economic pressure on Iran.
