Bessent says Iran was a ‘threat’ when its last aggressive war was invading India in 1736. Bessent omits any mention of Israel despite war on Iran being 100% Netanyahu obsession for 40 years. But read the comments too. That’s where this gets fun. Bessent makes the classic ‘you’re either with us or with the enemy’ declaration that all the world must live under the yoke of US sanctions on Iran. His arrogance and insolence are as great as his ignorance and selective framing.
