We met up with Matt Kennard outside the US Embassy in London to discuss his book, Irregular Army.

During the 'war on terror,' the US military effectively discarded the very regulations meant to keep neo-Nazis, gang members, and criminals out of the ranks to ensure they could staff the occupations of Iraq and Afghanistan.

But these figures aren’t just in the ranks anymore—they are at the top of the Pentagon, running the whole show.

Matt breaks down how this isn't just a Republican issue; it’s a bipartisan, pro-war, pro-corporate consensus that both parties have upheld, and one that is designed to cover up a dangerous reality.
