The Pentagon claims a thousand interceptors left... More like fewer than 200.
Trump's top general, Joint Chiefs Chairman Dan Caine, privately warned the administration that resuming major combat against Iran would dangerously deplete CENTCOM's interceptors, per the New York Times.
The warning finally pierced the bubble.
Fmr. CIA analyst Larry Johnson says the real inventory is worse than anyone admits:
"They're making claims that they've got, like, a thousand left, and I guarantee you it's probably fewer than 200."
He credits Caine with mastering a delicate art: advising Trump without threatening him, putting consequences on the record so nobody can later say they weren't told.
