The Kairos II declaration described the experience of Christian Palestinians under 'israeli' occupation— naming genocide, ethnic cleansing, and settler-colonialism rooted in zionism. It called for repudiation of Christian zionism and stronger global church action.
UK jewish groups (Chief Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis, the Board of Deputies, and co‑leaders of the Movement for Progressive Judaism) interfered. They demanded the motion not be 'received' but 'heard'. They forced the addition of clauses on repentance for the Church's 'historic contribution to anti-semitism' and reaffirmation of commitment to Christian‑jewish dialogue.
Never forget: Palestinian Christians in Gaza told the world they are facing extinction as a result of 'israel's' genocidal campaign.
But zionists are still not satisfied. They are now attacking the Church for passing the amended motion.
Palestinians (Muslim and Christian) occupied and oppressed by the 'jewish state', are never allowed to be centred without additional caveats of jewish victimhood.
A grotesque concession made only at the expense of Palestinians.
The religious supremacy in Palestine is not confined to Palestine.
