 The Iran deal may be starting to show up in unexpected places.

Israeli security sources say the army is preparing to halt its ground operations in Lebanon as part of the agreement being finalized between Washington and Tehran.

That doesn't mean Israel is packing up and leaving. The military reportedly plans to keep holding its buffer zone in southern Lebanon, with that issue expected to be discussed during the talks.

This increasingly looks less like an Iran-only deal and more like a broader regional arrangement.

 A White House official confirmed Israel will not be required to sign any deal with Iran and retains its full right to self-defense.

If Iran doesn't hold up its end, Israel is under no obligation to hold back, and it doesn't need Washington's permission to say so.
