Honestly, I just cannot fathom what kind of a bubble people like this remain living in. They still think this is 1992 and we simply call all the shots.

That fantasy should’ve been burned off in 2025 with the disastrous 12 day war w Iran, but for sure in the first 40 days of this current conflict, we should’ve realized the limits of our power and observed that we have put Iran in a far stronger position strategically than they ever would’ve been had we not chosen war.

Instead of recognizing that catastrophic failure and the weakening of our position, they want to double down with military and try and issue demands to the side with the most leverage.

Iran is simply not going to give in to our demands, and that’s going to put President Trump in the position of either listening to the Warhawks and go back to active combat operations, or recognize reality and walk away.

If he chooses the former, then our strategic defeat will be a historically bad loss that will cost our country for years into the future, and probably permanently knock us out of our once perch atop the global power charts.

Choose the latter, and it will simply be an ugly defeat, but one we can rebuild from.
