ICC Prosecutors Seek Arrest Warrant for Smotrich
The filing was submitted SECRETLY on April 2nd, targeting Smotrich for forced displacement of Palestinians, transfer of Israeli settlers into occupied territory, persecution, and apartheid.
If judges approve, it would be the FIRST international arrest warrant ever issued specifically for the crime of apartheid, marking a threshold no court has crossed before. Ben Gvir is under active evidence review but no application has been filed in his case yet.
The three judges examining the Smotrich application are the same ones who approved the Netanyahu and Gallant warrants. All three have already been sanctioned by the Trump administration.
This warrant moves the ICC's reach from wartime commanders to the architects of settlement policy itself.
