The U.S. Navy is pulling back from the Persian Gulf, and Iran knows exactly what it means. USS Truxtun and USS Mason withdrew into the Gulf of Oman after burning through missile stocks and fuel during high-intensity operations. While they're resupplying, Iran seized a Chinese-managed tanker and hit a second vessel. US F-18s struck three Iranian tankers to enforce the blockade, but the tempo is unsustainable. 90-96 VLS cells sound like a lot until you're running a continuous combat patrol in one of the most contested waterways on earth. The deeper issue: America can dominate the Gulf in bursts, but Iran is playing a war of attrition, it's built its entire strategy around. Source: @wgowshipping YT
