Arming the Kurds or Iranian “protesters” is not only a violation of the UN Charter but also a blatant violation of Point I of the General Declaration of the 1981 Algiers Accords, in which Washington explicitly pledged: 

“The United States pledges that it is and from now on will be the policy of the United States not to intervene, directly or indirectly, politically or militarily, in Iran’s internal affairs.”

Those who expect Iran to trust the United States and yield to its demands either do not understand, or choose to ignore, the long history of U.S. violations of its binding commitments toward Iran.
