Meanwhile, US has vetoed multiple (at least 5 by late 2025) UNSC drafts on Gaza since Oct 2023. These typically demanded: Immediate, unconditional, or permanent ceasefires/humanitarian pauses. Unhindered humanitarian aid access and lifting of restrictions.
Examples include: December 8, 2023: Immediate humanitarian ceasefire (vetoed by US; 13-1 with UK abstaining).
Various 2024–2025 drafts on permanent ceasefire and aid (US often the sole "no" vote).
