Your claim that Israel has "legal title" to the whole of the land between the river and the sea is not supported by the historical documents. Neither the Mandate nor the Balfour Agreement promised the Jewish people a sovereign state, and nor did either of these documents grant Jewish people exclusive rights to the whole of the land between the river and the sea. The British "white paper" of 1922 explicitly ruled out a Jewish sovereign state encompassing the whole of Palestine: "Unauthorized statements have been made to the effect that the purpose in view is to create a wholly Jewish Palestine. Phrases have been used such as that Palestine is to become "as Jewish as England is English." His Majesty's Government regard any such expectation as impracticable and have no such aim in view. Nor have they at any time contemplated, as appears to be feared by the Arab delegation, the disappearance or the subordination of the Arabic population, language, or culture in Palestine. They would draw attention to the fact that the terms of the Declaration referred to do not contemplate that Palestine as a whole should be converted into a Jewish National Home, but that such a Home should be founded `in Palestine'." avalon.law.yale.edu/21st_century/b Britain was the Mandatory power authorised by the League of Nations. Britain relinquished the Mandate to the United Nations in 1947. At that time there was no plan or proposal to create a Jewish sovereign state in Palestine. The only existing plan was the 1939 White Paper, which proposed a single multi-faith, multi-ethnic State of Palestine. The 1947 UNGA resolution to partition the land has no legal force. But even if it did, it could not possibly give legal title to Israel over the areas it allocated to the "Arab state". Reading the actual documents and understanding the context in which they were written helps.

Israel’s legal title to the Land is ironclad under international law - and it was permanently reaffirmed on this day in 1946. On April 18, 1946, the League of Nations dissolved itself & transferred its “sacred trust” to the United Nations: the Mandate for Palestine. That
