The Palantir manifesto makes the same points that Marco Rubio raised in his speech at the Munich security conference: the inadequacy of soft power to resolve conflicts, the superiority of the Western civilization, the “us versus them” rhetoric.
Palantir presents those points as an inevitable reality, a framework in which we operate and where they come to offer a solution. Rubio presented them as a conscious choice, a direction that the new US hegemony will actively pursue.
We are seeing, once again, the nexus of the US-military complex. This time around the technologies are equally lethal, but much less understood.
