The answer, per their own previous analysis: Iran would call it a win.

The numbers explain why Trump is even asking the question. 26% of Americans think the war was worth it. 25% think it made the U.S. safer. Approval at 34%. And midterms are coming.

Meanwhile Iran spent the ceasefire digging out buried weapons. Resuming full-scale war now costs more than it did in February.

Trump entered this war with maximum pressure. He's now war-gaming how to leave without calling it a loss.
